wikilook dictionary Wikilook is an open source add-on for Mozilla Firefox.  Once installed you can hold down the shift key, hover your mouse over any complex word, and it will provide you with a pop up window giving the explanation.  The picture shows the meaning of the word 'innovative' taken from the University of Southampton home page.   The source of the definitions is Wiktionary which also provides easy navigation to Wikipedia.

This is a mouse driven application and according to the instructions,  the user needs to be able to:

1. Press Shift
2. Move mouse pointer just a bit, still holding it over selected word.
3. Wait half a second.
The other way, moving mouse first and then pressing Shift will not work, to make sure add-on won't interfere, when user decided to type some text..

2. Move mouse pointer just a bit, still holding it over selected word.
3. Wait half a second.
Waiting is to ensure non aggressive approach for definition frame appearance, in the meantime still preventing multiple mouse clicks.
